Total|Local Media, Inc., a new, start-up media company, is seeking a Site Coordinator for its local news and information websites including 1812Blockhouse and 1808Delaware.
The Site Coordinator cultivates and communicates with content partners, identifies news and information opportunities, and engages with readers through our sites and through social media. This is a flexible position which can be adapted to meet the strengths and experience of an ideal candidate.
He or she will also have a ground floor seat as Total|Local Media expands its footprint in current communities and enters new markets in the coming months. Because of this, while this is initially envisioned as a ten hour per week position, the real opportunity exists for more hours and income if desired as the company reaches its objectives.
The ideal candidate will be able to communicate effectively, online and off; have strong organizational skills; demonstrate creativity and resourcefulness; be computer literate and conversant with Microsoft Word, online search engines, and social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram); have experience with WordPress or have an aptitude for learning new programs and apps; own or have access to the internet and a smartphone and/or digital camera; and be trustworthy and professional.
Hours worked will need to be standard from one day to the next, however the choice of that time block is up to the employee. Previous media experience is not required.
This is also specifically designed to be an at-home or in an independent office position. Residence in or easy access to either Mansfield or Delaware, Ohio is a plus.
